Here is everything you need to know to have an awesome weekend at DNOW:

  - You will be spending two nights at a local home. Be sure to pack accordingly - you will need changes of clothes for each day (dress warm for Saturday as we will be around the town in Aiken)! We are not doing anything that is exceedingly physically demanding so there is no need for athletic gear.

  - Students will be transported by host home parents and college leaders throughout the weekend.

  - Bring a sleeping bag, air mattress, extra blankets, etc. so you will be comfy each night!

  - Be sure to bring a bible and a pen to keep notes throughout the weekend. Students will receive a student journal and t-shirt this weekend.

  - Everything is paid for - no money needed, unless they want to grab a snack Saturday afternoon somewhere.

  - Sunday morning we will be worshiping at West Campus. All students should be picked up from there. We will wait around to make sure each student gets picked up - feel free to worship at your campus that morning. Pick up your students after worship Sunday morning at West Campus.

  - Arrive Friday night at 7:30pm (no earlier!) on the statue side of our Banks Mill campus (3001 Banks Mill Rd.) - your first stop will be the gym area. Bring all your luggage in!

  - The normal DO NOT BRINGS are the same! No tobacco, drugs, alcohol, or anything with questionable content. Feel free to pack snacks for the weekend with your luggage.

  - Parents, when you arrive and check your student in you will be given a notecard with your student's location for the weekend and contact information. Make sure to pick this up so you know where they will be.

  - Most groups are composed of 7-8 students with 1-2 college aged co-leaders.

  - Parents are encouraged to show up for our worship services if they'd like. There are as follows:
      - Friday Night, Banks Mill CENTERPOINT Building - 8:00PM
      - Saturday Afternoon, Banks Mill CENTERPOINT Building- 11 AM
      - Saturday Night, Banks Mill CENTERPOINT Building - 7:00PM
      - Sunday Morning - West Campus - 11:00AM

FAQs

What is DNOW (DiscipleNOW)?

DiscipleNOW is a weekend student retreat where students spend the night in local homes with other students their grade along with a college student as a small group leader. The students meet throughout the weekend at Cedar Creek Church - Banks Mill Campus to worship, eat, spend time in God’s word, and fellowship together. Students will be in homes of families that are well respected and trusted at our church who have a love for students and seeing them connect with Jesus. Our college student leaders are also students who have been a part of CENTERPOINT and are known as spiritual leaders and strong in their faith. They will be trained and ready to impart spiritual guidance to your students throughout the weekend! Students will be chaperoned at all times.

What are the dates?

February 22nd – February 24th, 2019
Student sign in will begin at Banks Mill campus at 7:00pm on February 22nd. The weekend will conclude after worship on Sunday morning at the West Campus (see schedule above).

How much does DNOW cost?

Cost is $25 and includes everything the student needs for the weekend (food, transportation) and also includes a DNOW T-shirt!

Will my student be in a group with his friends?

We try very hard to accommodate every group request on our registration form. Sometimes if there is a group of friends that exceeds the size of our groups (7-8), that group of friends will have to be split up. Also, if you bring a guest, we guarantee your friend will be in your group! Our goal is also to get students in relationship with leaders and students that they will see on a regular basis at church - therefore we try to combine students and leaders from the same campus as best as possible. At times it is impossible to do this from a logistical standpoint, but ideally students and leaders from the same campus will be together.

How do I pick my student up if I attend another campus?

We will stick around to make sure every student is picked up – feel free to attend your campus’ worship, then come get your student afterwards!

My student has a ball game (or other commitment) on Saturday - Can he leave and come back?

Yes! We want your student at DNOW. We will work with you to make it happen.

Can I host a group?

We would love for you to host a group! Contact Jeff at jeffp@cedarcreekchurch.net to inquire on hosting a group!
